This F1 hybrid, day-neutral onion is widely adapted and can be grown successfully across most of North America. An early-maturing variety at approximately 105 days, Sierra Blanca delivers mild, sweet flavor with thick rings ideal for salads, slicing, onion rings, and frying. Bulbs can exceed 2 pounds under proper conditions and show good bolt tolerance with resistance to pink root rot. While not recommended for long-term storage, this 2001 AAS Winner performs exceptionally well for spring planting nationwide and fall planting in short-day regions.
